Basic Information About Academic Programmes
The Institute offers doctoral studies of "Fisheries" covering virtually the entire range of fisheries and aquaculture subjects. Applicants who have completed their university studies in amaster degree programme may apply for the Fisheries doctoral study programme. Apart from an obligatory English language examination, in the course of the doctoral programme the student has to pass at least 4 examinations in professional compulsorry-optional and optional subjects, while at least one examination has to be in one of the compulsory-optional subjects. Graduates from the "Fisheries" master degree programme are anticipated to take at least one compulsory-optional subject. Graduates from other master degree programmes are anticipated to take all compulsory-optional subjects (applied hydrobiology, pond aquaculture, ichthyology/systematics of fish).



Admission
Applicants are required to have completed education at master level. All applicants must pass an entrance examination in Biology of Animals, Fisheries and Water Ecology.
