Basic Information About Academic Programmes
The primary goal of the Catholic Theological Faculty is to educate future specialists in the sphere of theology and philosophy. From the perspective of canon law, the Faculty considers itself to be under the responsibility of the Prague archbishop (the chancellor of the faculty) and the Papal Congregation for Catholic Education. Graduates from the regular five-year master study programme must receive permission from the bishop before entering the service of a diocese, and before beginning their work as Catholic priests. Graduates of the external study programme are able to begin work in church institutions, in media communications, or in other areas of cultural life. Candidates who want to be deacons, religion teachers and/or civil mission workers are trained in a four-year part-time study programme.

Lifelong Learning
